According to cybercrime trends report, 85% of all organizations reviewed were affected by ransomware accidents in the past year. The report also stated that phishing attacks were the leading entry points for ransomware in 2025. the best cyber protection, it seems, is hardware protection. A passkey to protect the users from phishing attacks, and much more. E.D.E CEO, Dr. Eran Weis: “your best cyber-Shield is your iShield. Durable and highly encrypted. It offers much more than your standard passkey”.
A new Cybercrime report was released this month, which highlights the vital role of identity theft, and the growing presence of Artificial Intelligence(AI)-generated attack routes. The “2025 Spycloud identity threat report” listed major trends, benchmarks, and strategies to strengthen identity threat protection. Alternatively, the report listed the major negative shifts and turns of the cyber attack world.
- Secured Skies: Hardware identification solution is solid option to counter growing cyber threats
- Identity has become the focal point of cybercrime, new hardware is ready to face the threat
- Healthcare (Cyber) care: Cyber threat treatment needs physical solution
- AI is becoming a major concern in cyber attacks, here is a key for your protection
- FIDO-fit: Swissbit has joined of the Board of Directors of the FIDO Alliance
The report found that over two thirds of reviewed organizations were significantly or extremely concerned about identity based cyber attacks. Not only that, 85% of them were affected by ransomware incidents in the past year. In addition, phishing attacks were labelled as the leading entry point for ransomware. Followed up by exposed or weak Application Programming interface (API) and stolen cookies than enabled session hijacking.
To combat the rising tide of attacks combining technical exploits with human deception, one must use a solution “outside the box”. Or rather to use a physical box versus a cyber one. Conceived and produced at memory and security tech visionary Swissbit, the iShield security key is the best hardware-based identity first solution to date. While the basic solution adheres to all the strict regiments and protocols required as a FIDO2 solution, the Pro version offers much more.
In addition, the iShield security key family offers additional encryption protocols, above and beyond the standard. All in hardened rigorous packaging. Some of the solutions at hand also offer a Near Field Communication (NFC) capability. Thus, making its use simpler, and more appliable for numerous applications. The iShield was encrypted from day one with a Hash-based Message Authentication Code One-Time Password (HOTP) or alternatively Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) solutions.
Meanwhile, 79% of all organizations reviewed in the report were significantly or extremely concerned about phishing attacks. 40% of which were extremely concerned. In correlation, the report stated that an industry research underlined the acute nature of the current situation. Namely, 91% of reviewed organizations experienced an identity related incident in the past year. Nearly doubling the previous year’s total. Furthermore, it was listed that security leaders in the healthcare (52%) and IT (47%) industries are more likely to be extremely concerned about phishing.
E.D.E. CEO, Dr. Eran Weis, stated: “the details of our lives are written in the cyberworld. Today, almost all that you are is cataloged somewhere, elsewhere. The risk of identity- theft, and its repercussions had never been more deadly”. In the iShield solution, Dr. Weis explained, there is a unique vision for an integrated hardware-software combination. “This was done in order to counter these threats” remarked.
Dr. Weis elaborated: “we in E.D.E. believe in the concept of a physical ‘anchor’ for cyber protection. Therefore, the iShield physical access key solution offers the best most reliability-driven exemplar of this future of security innovation. Of this combo of physical presence with unparalleled encryption methodologies”.
